Deepawali

Hii everyone !! Today’s post is about Diwali ( I know it is done ) here find some info on it :

Diwali/Deepawali is a festival of lights and one of the major festivals celebrated in India . This festival usually lasts five days ( in November) . Diwali symbolizes the spiritual “victory of light over darkness, good over evil, and knowledge over ignorance”. Here is the reason why Diwali is celebrated, in some regions, a celebration of the day Lord Rama returned to his kingdom Ayodhya with his wife Sita and his brother Lakshmana after defeating Ravana in Lanka and serving 14 years of exile. Diwali, celebration usually commences by cleaning our houses, renovating. On the day of Diwali decorating homes and workplaces with diyas (oil lamps) and Rangoli’s (colourful patterns made with flowers or rice powder). During Diwali, people also wear their finest new clothes and perform pooja to worship Lakshmi mata, the goddess of prosperity and wealth. People also light fireworks, and partake in family feasts, where mithai (sweets) and gifts are shared. Every one around exchange greetings with their neighbours , family and friends by wishing everyone “Happy Diwali “.

Some Bengalis ( I am one of them, I am a bengali 😁) celebrate Diwali for 3 days . The Day before Diwali is known as ‘Choddho Prodeep ‘ ( 14 diya ) or ‘ Bhoot Chaturdashi ‘ . On this day , Kali Puja is performed from midnight till early in the morning , Choddo Prodeep is observed to pay homage to 14 ancestors , requesting them to save everyone from evil spirits and ghosts . ( count the diya it’s 14 ) .On this day we Bengalees also eat a special kind of green leafy vegetable preparation “Choddo shaag’ meaning 14 leaves. and it is a super yummy dish which I enjoy eating with a little bit of Kasundi ( tangy mustard sauce).

Also the diya’s , me and my mom painted do you like them ? comment below ……this is also a activity we like to do ……..

My Rangoli 😁 Rangoli is an art form originating in the Indian subcontinent, in which patterns are created on using materials such as , plain and coloured rice flour, coloured sand, , flower petals .

Learn how to make a pen stand to organise your space

its today’s fun activity; thanks for following my blog.

Lets do something which is easy on your pocket, and at the same time beautiful and useful. I would show you how can you make a pen stand out of the unused material at your house.

So cheers friends lets begin.

So by following the steps below learn how to make a pen stand and organise your space .

So the steps are :

Step 1 :

Use a tumbler shaped container of any size with a broad opening ; it can be a plastic bottle , an empty container , a glass jar etc.

Step 2 :

Next use a rectangular piece of paper of a colour of your choice. to cover the curved surface of the container. Measure it in the size of the container to the perfection so that the body of the container is not showing and fully covered. Fix the paper with the help of a tape so that the paper remains in its place.

Step 3 :

Next comes your time to decorate the container as you wish. You can take decorative tapes, stickers, ribbons, gem stones etc. and decorate so that this looks pretty and special .

Step 4 :

now you have your pen stand created; put your pens, pencils, markers and start off by organizing your desk. Show off to your friends, 😉

Don’t you find this to be interesting? Try this today, now and share your snaps for the organizer.
